Robert Russell Waters Sr.

Robert Russell Waters Sr., 70, Othello resident (lived near Mar Don resort), passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at his home.

Viewing will be held from 1 to 4 P. M. on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Kayser’s Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, Washington. A celebration of life will be held at 12514 S.E. 99th immediately following the graveside. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. Robert joined the Navy at the age of 17 and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service. While serving in Bremerton, he met the love of his life, Irene Faas. They married after 5 short months and lived happily for 45 years in the Renton area until they retired to the Moses Lake area.

Robert is remembered by those who knew him as a man with great dedication to his family, his military career, and as a man who had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to travel, go fishing, and camping (especially with his grandchildren!)

He is survived by his loving wife Irene, son, Robert Jr. (Dianne), daughter, Rebecca (John Schlichter), son, Tim (Chris). Grandchildren: Chellsea (Dan), Robert III, Timmy, Michelle, Sarah, Tylre, Jessica, Nathan, and John Ryan. Great Granddaughter, Cadan. He is also survived by his sisters, Joanne Buman, Barbara Ferguson, Nancy Wheeler, Carol Pipenger, and Connie Dirksen.

He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him!
