The upcoming election is on Nov. 3, 2009. An intelligent voter will prepare oneself by reviewing candidates’ qualifications.

I personally support Mayor Ron Covey and Bill Ecret. I have known each one for a number of years. Both of these candidates are knowledgeable and are prepared to vote on measures that are best for the city. I believe they are not influenced by specific groups or by a political agenda. I don’t always agree with them on some issues, this is my prerogative, but that doesn’t make them wrong or uninformed representatives.

Ron Covey, our mayor, has represented the city in a professional manner at council meetings and with the news media, he presents himself as a true professional.

I urge voters to join me in voting for and electing these two council members for another term.
