GRANT COUNTY PROSECUTOR

| October 22, 2009 9:00 PM

I am a citizen who has lived in Grant County virtually all of my life, and I have been following the prosecutor’s race and am very concerned about where our county is heading.

We have a board of commissioners who have appointed an attorney with only two years of experience as opposed to others who had between then almost 40 years of experience. They also allowed him to terminate employees who were long term and have lived in this county, some of them for over 30 years, and gave their all to protect the citizens of Grant County. Then tells his own people to tell the public that they quit.

I count only one more prosecutor than the previous administration, because Mr. Lee is not a working prosecutor. He did however delete three very important support staff positions, therefore overloading the remaining staff.

Lee is not the one who was going electronic, it was the previous administration that began that process. He had no experience in budget matters, nor did he have management skills, if he had, we the taxpayers would not be getting sued. Leading a squad is not the same as management.

After he terminates staff, “because he lost confidence in them,” he attempts to, unsuccessfully, prevent them from drawing unemployment.

Now Lee tries to tell us that he has no idea that a prominent judge in our county was never charged with a hit and run. How can that be? That information has been out there for quite some time, and he makes it clear that he reviews everything.

Mr. Lin is fighting very hard for the citizens of Grant County and Mr. lee continues to use his office to prevent him, Albert Lin, from doing so. Making sure that he cannot take any leave is like telling him that he can’t campaign.

These are just a few of the reasons that I will not support the unelected appointed interim prosecutor and will be supporting Albert Lin.
