Man charged in Moses Lake shooting

EPHRATA — A man is charged with participating in a September 2008 attack on four people that left one girl shot.

Salvador J. Harrison, 26, Warden, is charged with assault in the first degree — accomplice liability.

Grant County Superior Court Judge John Antosz set bail at $50,000.

The shooting followed an argument and fight where Harrison allegedly told an unnamed accomplice to shoot the man he was fighting.

The reported incident started when the victim, her boyfriend, her mother and mother’s boyfriend were pulling out of their Moses Lake residence to get ice cream. They spotted a black Ford Aerostar van passing the end of the driveway, according to a Grant County sheriff’s report.

The group followed the van to Broad Street, where they pulled next to it. The victim’s mother started talking to Harrison, exiting the vehicle, asking why they were going by the house. The other passengers also stepped out of the car, according to the police report.

The van’s occupants claimed to be gang members.

The victim’s mother started arguing with Harrison, when he allegedly punched her in the face. After the woman’s boyfriend started fighting with the man, Harrison reportedly told the passenger to shoot the man, according to the police report.

Then the passenger allegedly pulled out a .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol, shooting twice and hitting the victim in the arm, according to the police report.

Police found broken glass and two .25 caliber shells at the scene, and traced the van to Harrison’s girlfriend, according to the police report. Officers found the vehicle and Harrison at a Terminal Street residence. In Harrison’s bedroom they found a .25 caliber cartridge.

Harrison is also charged in several other cases, including assaults and an April drive-by shooting on Broadway Avenue in Moses Lake.
