Grant County Prosecutor

| October 16, 2009 9:00 PM

With election day coming soon, we need political candidates to give trustworthy information, so that we can be informed voters. But, last summer I heard Angus Lee, the interim prosecuting attorney, talking to his supporters. He said, “If anyone asks about Grant County employees being fired from my office, tell them that the employees weren’t fired — they quit when new office procedures were required.”

That didn’t sound correct to me.

Later, on Aug. 13th,  I read an investigative reporter’s article that stated Angus Lee had indeed fired two senior deputy prosecutors. This confirmed my suspicions that Mr. Lee was deceitful in what he instructed his supporters to tell us voters. This is very disappointing coming from a candidate for the very position where integrity is so important — the prosecuting attorney.

In contrast, prosecuting attorney candidate, Albert Lin, continues to provide that kind of integrity. I’ve always felt I could trust information given by Mr. Lin. He has a campaign pledge to — Prosecute violent offenders — to conviction.  In fact, Deputy Prosecutor Albert Lin,  successfully prosecuted, by jury trial, the first person charged  in Grant County of controlled substance homicide. Sounds like he’s sticking to his word. That’s the kind of commitment Grant County needs.

Let’s elect Albert Lin for Grant County, prosecuting attorney. Lin prosecutes … and wins with integrity!
