GRANT COUNTY PROSECUTOR

| October 15, 2009 9:00 PM

The prosecutor race this year is different, the first under the Cajun or top two candidates system.  When John Knodell became a superior court judge, the Grant County Republican Party Precinct Committee Officers selected an interim prosecutor to hold the office until all of the citizens could decide on one to fulfill John Knodell’s office.  Now, here we are in the general election with two good candidates, both Republicans.

I’m supporting Albert Lin for many reasons, the least of which is his 10 years in the Grant County Prosecutor’s office.  His record speaks for itself; he goes to court and does the job for us! Another is a statement he made to me early on, that “Justice is Non-Partisan.” As a county commissioner, I had the honor of serving with Dick Zornes, a fine Democrat. On one occasion, after we had helped some citizens get a problem solved, he asked me if I thought they were Republicans or Democrats. We agreed that it didn’t matter, they were all good citizens expecting to do the work for them.  Dick and I  had an excellent and close working relationship.

Many supporting Albert Lin are Republicans, and many are Democrats. I’m pleased to  be on the same team for Albert with them. The general election is your opportunity to help select your prosecutor until the 2010 election.  I ask you to help us elect Albert Lin.
