Tennis lessons begin next week

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department will host a two-day tennis lesson program beginning Oct. 23 at the tennis courts in McCosh Park.

The tennis lessons are directed toward interested youth between 5 and 11 years old.

The lessons will begin Friday, Oct. 23 and conclude Saturday, Oct. 24. Friday’s lessons will take place between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturday’s lessons will take place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Registration fees for the tennis lessons is $25 and Rich Gregoire is the instructor.

The tennis lessons are designed to focus on fundamentals of basic tennis shots. Drills and games will be played with restricted flight balls and will allow the participants to develop skills while having success.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own racket, but junior rackets may be purchased for an additional $20.
