Judith Ann Mitchell

Judith Ann Mitchell, 62, Moses Lake resident, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Robinswood House, 2430 148th Ave. S.E., Bellevue, WA 98007. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Fircrest School, 15230 15th Ave N.E., Shoreline, WA 98155. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. Judith was born February 14, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leon and Isabelle (Wega) Grothe. She moved with her family to Des Moines, Iowa, Jacksonville, Florida, Italy and Germany before graduating from Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida.

She married William “Bill” Mitchell on February 14, 1975 in Reno, Nevada. In 1977 they moved to Redmond, Washington where they made their home until moving to Moses Lake in 2007.

She enjoyed sewing, attending the theatre, camping and playing cards.

Survivors include her husband Bill Mitchell of Moses Lake; a daughter, Rebecca Mitchell of Moses Lake; a step-son Greg Mitchell of Tacoma, WA and a step-daughter Colleen Reiner of Florida; a brother William Grothe of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, Austin, the love of her life, along with Mary, Derek, Lauren Alexa, Nathaniel, Jonathan, Scott, Greg, Leann, Zac and Benjamin; and a special friend, Evelyn Sabitino.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Brenneman Mitchell.
