MOSES LAKE — Interstate 90 reopened Sunday night after dust blown by high winds forced the closure of the freeway between Moses Lake and Ritzville
The Washington state Department of Transportation closed the freeway around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, from milepost 179 near Moses Lake to milepost 220 at Ritzville. Washington State Patrol Sgt. Mike Rupert told the Associated Press how Sunday afternoon visibility, during the worst part of the dust storm, was about five feet.
The dust storm is believed to have contributed to a five-vehicle collision late Saturday night on westbound I-90, leaving eight people injured.
