Sherri Jeannine (Evans) Camacho

Sherri Jeannine (Evans) Camacho, 57, longtime Moses Lake resident died November 23, 2009 in her home in Moses Lake.

Sherri was born March 11, 1952 in Greeley, CO to Alvin Gilbert Evans, Jr. and Phyllis Ann (Ford) Evans.

Sherri was raised in Greeley and graduated from Greeley West High School.  She later attended University of Northern Colorado.  She later met the love of her life Martin Camacho.  They were married in Moses Lake, WA on January 11, 1990.  Sherri was a very loyal, dedicated employee and worked for 12 years as the Administrative Assistant for the Grant County 5 Fire District just prior to her working as the Financial Services Manager for MACC 911 Dispatch Center for the last 10 years.  Sherri will be remembered for her total love and dedication for her dear family, which included more than her biological family, her family also consisted of her treasured co-workers over the years with Grant County 5 and MACC 911 Dispatch Center and her many close friends.  She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, employee, and friend to many.   She will also be remembered for taking care of everyone and everything, which she enjoyed immensely.  Sherri enjoyed the outdoors, camping, traveling, bowling, golfing, reading, shopping; she loved animals and her morning coffee.  She treasured the times with her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family and attending school activities with her children.    She was a member of the Washington State Financial Management Association.

Sherri, from your “family” at MACC 911 Dispatch Center we will miss you “sally port.”

Sherri is survived by her dear husband Martin Camacho, children Tory, Michael and wife Victoria, Rebecca and Willy, all of Moses Lake, WA; her dear mother Phyllis Ann Evans of Greeley, CO,  her brothers Michael and wife Rhonda Evans of Greeley, CO and Roger and wife Russanna Evans of Fort Collins, CO; precious grandchildren Loretta, Shane, Arianna and R.J., and many, many close friends. Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Gilbert Evans, Jr.

Viewing will be from   2 – 7 p.m.  Friday, November 27, 2009 at Carver Family Funeral Home, 1217 E. Wheeler Rd., Moses Lake, WA.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Moses Lake Assembly of God Church, 431 E. Brown Ave., Moses Lake, WA with burial and concluding services in Guarding Angels Cemetery in Moses Lake.
