Lowell Scott Boren lost his five month battle with lung cancer on November 13, 2009.

Scott was born in Ephrata, WA on September 30, 1965, to Joel and Sydney Boren. He passed from the loving arms of his mom and brother to the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, November 13, 2009, in Seattle, WA at the age of 44 years.

Scott attended school in Buckley, WA and received his GED in 1986. Scott began wrestling at age 7 in White River and continued to love the sport through his years at White River Middle School. He was an avid golfer from an early age and continued to enjoy golfing throughout his life. Fishing was his love loved pastime from age 3. Scott would happily fish for hours with a tree branch, piece of string and a safety pin.

Scott loved people. Old, youth, it didn’t matter. He wanted to take care of everybody. He had a beautiful heart. His family will miss his physical presence while forever holding him close in our hearts.

He is survived by his daughter, Chelise Renee Boren, Spokane, WA, his brother Brad and sister-in-law Heather, nieces Brooke and Gracie and nephew Colter Boren of Enumclaw, WA, his parents Joel Boren of California and Sydney Boren of Moses Lake, WA, aunt and uncle Kay and Ted Hjaltalin of Cle Elum, WA, cousins Kris Hjaltalin of Cle Elum and Ryan Hjaltalin of Kent, WA. Also extended family Cheryl Vasquez and children Lori, Tami and Gary Pegram plus many close family friends who he held dear to his heart. Scott was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ted and Esther Eide, paternal grandparents Sid and Eunice Boren and bio-Mom Barbara Dee Pierce.

Family and friends will gather on November 28, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the home of Sydney Boren to remember Scott and offer comfort to one another. At Scott’s request, he was cremated. Weeks Funeral Home of Enumclaw, WA was selected to carry out his wishes. Scott’s ashes will be interred at a later date with his maternal grandmother at Bess Hampton Cemetery in Othello, WA.
