Penny Joanne VanBouchaute

Penny Joanne VanBouchaute, 50, passed away on Oct. 25 at her home in Pablo, Montana.

Penny was born on April 22, 1959, to Jim and Theresa Pickering in Kansas City, Missouri. They later moved to Roslyn, Wash., where Penny graduated in 1976 from Cle Elum-Roslyn High School. From there she went on and worked as a nurse for many years. In 1981 she met the love of her life, Harry Edward VanBouchaute. They married on September 14, 1982. They were then blessed with two sons, Eddie and David, whom she loved more than anything. She moved to Moses Lake, Wash., in 1998, where she and her family resided until 2002 when Penny moved to Montana where she spent the remainder of her life.

Penny was a wonderful and cheery person and was loved very much by everyone that knew her. She had a big heart and was always kind and caring. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by her husband Harry VanBouchaute, her two sons, Eddie and David VanBouchaute, their wives Summer and Ashley VanBouchaute, step-children Renee, Josh and Amanda VanBouchaute, her sister Debby Burnett, her husband Don Burnett, her brother Guy Pickering and his wife Sheryl Pickering, their children Anthony and Samantha Pickering, grandchildren Theresa, Harry, Emilee and Austin VanBouchaute, Harlow VanBouchaute, Mia and Shaylene Bigby, Conner Gerard, Dale Jr., and Andrew Richy, nephews Jason and Jeremy Pickering, Jim William Gerard, Joshua Burnett, nieces Elizabeth Brown, Crystal Burnett.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Pickering, her mother Theresa Pickering and her nephew Jonathan Pickering.

Penny will be laid to rest in Cle Elum, Wash.
