Remember the convenience of local air service
MOSES LAKE — Flying out of the Grant County International Airport makes getting to Seattle and beyond very easy.
I recently used the air service on United Express and was able to get to my meetings in Olympia without the delays of road construction, saving me much valuable time. With winter weather upon us, the pass is going to be more difficult to get across at times and will likely be closed periodically due to conditions. Having the air service here will now allow us to get to the places we need to be whether it is for business or pleasure, regardless of pass conditions.
As a community, we need to support the service. The more we use it and fill up the flights we have now, the more opportunities we will have to add additional flights in the future and possibly open the door to other locations. Many organizations came together to assist in us getting the air service grant and businesses put up over half a million dollars in an Air Travel Bank to make air service a reality. Now it is up to each and every one of us to use the service when needing to travel to Seattle and beyond.
The short thirty minute flight to Seattle allows us connectivity to 330 daily flights to 85 destinations world wide. At most, we have 30 people to get through security, so you only need to arrive 1 hour before your flight. Going through security will not take you that much time, but because our ticket agents also work with the aircraft, all passengers must be checked in at least 30 minutes before the flight. Our current flight schedule allows most to arrive in Seattle in plenty of time to make most all connecting flights and our final return flight allows for you to get into Seattle in time to make the connection to get back to Moses Lake. The Moses Lake airport code is MWH and is on most travel search engines.
By flying out of Moses Lake instead of adjacent airports, you will save time and money as parking is free at the Grant County International Airport. Returning home after a trip is much nicer knowing you only have a short drive home rather than having to arrive at another airport and having to drive one to three hours to get home.
I have another trip in January and will be flying from Moses Lake to Tucson. My airfare is within a few dollars of the ticket price from Spokane and when I factor in the price to park it will cost me less flying from Moses Lake than it will from either Spokane or Seattle.
If we don’t use it, we will lose it! Join me and book your flights today.
