Port of Warden - 2010 Budget and Update Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget for the Port of Warden (Grant County Port District #8) has been prepared and placed on file by the Board of Commissioners of said Port District, which would include the implementation of the Port's Tax Levy. A copy of the said budget will be furnished to any District Tax Payer or Voter by calling the Port office and leaving name & address (509-349-2480) or email request to portofwarden@ccser.net.

The Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday November 17, 2009 at 12:00 Noon local time at the Port's office located upstairs in Warden City Hall (201 South Ash) for the purpose of conducting a Public Hearing and adopting a final budget for the calendar year 2010. Port district citizens may appear at that time or send comments to PO Box 841 - Warden, WA 98857 or email to above address prior to the meeting.

The Port Commission will also conduct a Public Hearing to take comments on the Port's updated Comprehensive & Capital Plan which was last updated in 2005. A copy of the updated plan may be reviewed at the Port office prior to said hearing. It is the Commissions plan to adopt by resolution this updated plan.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District will meet on the second (2nd) day of December, 2009 at the office of the District at 55 North 8th Avenue, Othello, Washington, at 10:00 a.m. acting as a Board of Equalization to equalize the assessment roll for 2010. From the date of publication until the date of said meeting, the assessment roll will be at the office of the Secretary at the above address for inspection by all persons interested.

The Board will, on said day, hear and determine such objections to the said assessment roll as may come before it and shall continue in session from day to day as long as may be necessary for a period not to exceed ten (10) days, exclusive of Sunday.

OFFICIAL NOTICE OF NOMINATION MEETING AND ELECTION OF

MEMBERS FOR THE WASHINGTON TURFGRASS COMMISSION

Pursuant to chapter 15.65 RCW, I, Dan Newhouse, Director of Agriculture for the state of Washington, hereby gives notice that a public meeting will be held at the Natural Resources, 1111 Washington St. SE, Olympia, WA on November 20, 2009 for the purpose of nominating candidates for Position 5 on the Washington Turfgrass Seed Commission. The current term will expire January 31, 2010. Nominations may be made in person at the meeting or telephonically by calling (360)902-1802 at the indicated time:

Position 5, District 3 - 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

(District 3 includes the counties of Adams, Franklin, Grant and Lincoln counties)

All affected producers of turfgrass seed in District 3 are entitled to participate and nominate candidates from their district. Qualifications for affected producer members require that the candidate be a practical producer of turfgrass seed in the district in and for which they are nominated and elected, a citizen and resident of the state of Washington, over the age of 18 years, and actively engaged in producing turfgrass seed within this state for a period of three years and has, during that time, derived a substantial portion of his/her income therefrom. A producer member cannot be engaged in business as a handler or other dealer. The qualifications of members of the board must continue during their term of office. The next term of office will be from February 1, 2010 to January 31, 2013.

If you are unable to attend or phone into the meeting, nominations may also be made by written petition if signed by five or more affected producers of turfgrass seed from your district. Written petitions must be mailed or faxed to the Washington State Department of Agriculture, Commodity Commission Program, PO Box 42560, Olympia, WA 98504-2560, Fax: (360)902-2092, and postmarked no later than November 25, 2009.

Small Works Roster

Notice is hereby given that the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District is accepting applications for its Small Works Roster.

The Small Works Roster will be used to solicit and secure telephone and/or written quotations for maintenance and improvement projects.

All vendors, contractors, suppliers or other parties wanting to be included in the Small Works Roster must obtain an Application from the District. A completed Application must be returned to the District no later than December 31, 2009 to be included on the 2010 Small Works Roster. An application may be obtained via telephone request (509)765-8716 or a written request may be sent to P.O. Box 98, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
