Christmas tree

| November 6, 2009 8:00 PM

MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake city employees started preparing for Christmas by hanging lights on a tree in Neppel park.

Crews strung the lights Thursday morning on the tree next to Stratford Road. The tree is usually decorated by volunteers from the Moses Lake Kiwanis Club and the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin.

Kaye Ward, the Kiwanis president, said they normally hang the decorations on the lower branches around the middle of December.
