Roy Hugh Stine

Roy Hugh Stine went home to be with our Lord on November 1st, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Delores M. Stine of 57 years. Children: Roy Stine (wife, Jeannette); Debra Wilcox; Terry Stine (wife, Lynnette); and Lisa Argento (husband, Bob); 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Roy Hugh Stine was born in Salmon, Idaho in 1933. He served in the Air Force and raised 4 children with his wife, Delores.

He was a farm owner in Moses Lake, which was his greatest passion,  before working for Idaho State Transportation until he retired and moved back to Moses Lake in 2001. He loved people and was a friend to everyone.  Roy was greatly loved by all of his grandchildren, family and friends.  He was a wonderful father and great example to his family.  After an eight year struggle with heart attack, stroke, cancer and other health problems, Roy died in his home with his four grown children and wife present at 4:23 pm Nov. 1st.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 5, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rose Street Chapel with Bishop Don Tucker conducting.  Interment will follow at Guarding Angels Cemetery in Moses Lake.  Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory.  The family will greet friends at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
