World Series Task Force to assemble

MOSES LAKE — Members of the 2009 Babe Ruth World Series Task Force will assemble tonight at the Holiday Inn Express in Moses Lake to discuss the World Series baseball tournament to be held at Larson Playfield Aug. 15 through Aug. 22.

The World Series Task Force will gather to discuss responsibilities for the upcoming tournament.

The meeting will be led by Babe Ruth World Series Tournament co-Director and Task Force Chairman Randy Boruff.

During the last meeting, Boruff said the task force is still in need of volunteers and housing is still a priority.

To volunteer to house a 2009 World Series participant, contact Eileen and Roger Martinez at 509-765-1052.

With the 2009 tournament less than three months away, Boruff said everyone interested in volunteering at the tournament is welcome to attend the meetings.

Tonight’s meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express on East Kittleson in Moses Lake.
