Ephrata man dies in wreck

QUINCY — Donald Edward Reed, 51, Ephrata, died in a one-vehicle accident on state Route 28, eight miles east of Quincy, Thursday morning.

Reed was traveling westbound on the highway in a 2006 Kia Optima, the Washington State Patrol reported. The vehicle reportedly left the roadway to the right and struck a driveway embankment. The vehicle rolled and came to a stop on its wheels.

Reed was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Kia Optima was totaled.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
