Lyle Barger

Lyle Barger, 82, Moses Lake resident, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at his home.

Lyle was born April 13, 1927, in Benkelman, Nebraska to the late Roy and Fern Barger.

He married Ila Mae Cline on February 22, 1946 in Benkelman, Nebraska. They have made Moses Lake their home since 1994.  They spent 61 wonderful years together until Ila’s passing in 2007.  Lyle was a man of many trades.  He worked in the construction industry for many years and owned his own businesses.

Lyle and Ila enjoyed traveling with family and friends.  They spent many winters in Wellton, Ariz., where they met many lifelong friends.

Lyle’s favorite summer pastime was fishing, accompanied by his grandkids and friends.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Margie Barger of Moses Lake; his daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Mike Peabody of Kona, Hawaii; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories with Pastor Deverett Butrick officiating.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, Washington. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.  Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, May 22, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until noon.
