Marjorie Gail Edwards

Marjorie Gail Edwards, 98, of Ephrata, joined her husband, Deverne Emry Edwards, and her daughter, Loreta Mae Rashford, in eternal life on May 13, 2009, at McKay Rehabilitation Center in Soap Lake.

Gail was born on July 3, 1910, in Hopkins, Mo., to Loren and Nellie Gillespie. She was married to Deverne on Dec. 8, 1929, in Hopkins, Mo., and they moved to Pendleton, Ore., in 1934, then to the Yakima Valley in 1936. They moved to Ephrata in 1991, where they enjoyed being close to their family.

She leaves behind her son-in-law Robert E. Rashford, granddaughter Joyce Kitkowski and her husband Ed, grandson Robert M. Rashford and his wife Joanna, granddaughter Victoria Geiger and her husband Tom, and grandson David Rashford and his wife Marlene. She had 12 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very much.

Private graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Valley View Memorial Park in Soap Lake.

Nicoles Funeral Home of Ephrata is in charge of arrangements.
