Ephrata sweeps sub-district track meet

EPHRATA — The Ephrata boys and girls track teams continued their Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) domination Friday with a sweep of the CWAC-North sub-district track meets.

The Ephrata boys team (237 points) cruised past second-place Selah (205.5 points) and the Ephrata girls team (247 points) remained perfect, distancing themselves past second-place Ellensburg (177 points).

Both the Ephrata boys and girls track teams finished the CWAC regular season undefeated.

PASCO, Wash. — The Moses Lake boys track and field team finished with one district champion in senior Spencer Fackrell (triple jump) and a pair of district runners-up to finish eighth at the district track meet Friday.

Fackrell finished second in the discus with a throw of 143-04 and junior Randy Koon finished second in the long jump (20-02) to help push the Chiefs past Ike.
