LEGAL NOTICE
Grant County has been awarded $30,438 in federal funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for the Emergency Food & Shelter National Board Program to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in our county. This funding is specifically designed to support organizations that are being impacted by newly unemployed persons.
The Local Board will meet on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Grant County Commissioners' Hearing Room, Courthouse, in Ephrata to review funding requests and allocate funds.
Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, applicants must: 1) be a local government or nonprofit organization, 2) be eligible to receive federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and 6) if a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board. Qualifying organizations are encouraged to apply.
Funding requests must be received by 11:30am on May 22, 2009.
