Carlos M. Capetillo

Carlos M. Capetillo, 60, longtime Warden resident, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden with Father Brooks F. Beaulaurier as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden. Viewing will take place at the church on Friday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Carlos was born Aug. 17, 1948, in Los Ramones Nuevo Leon, Mexico, son of Emilio and Jacinta (Martinez) Capetillo. He was raised in Los Ramones where he met and married his wife Tomasa in 1977. They moved and settled in Warden with their children.

Carlos enjoyed playing the accordian at family gatherings and was often accompanied by his children.

He loved to have his granddaughter, Samantha Pruneda and his grandsons, Johnny and Justin Suarez and Juan Carlos Capetillo Jr., by his side at all times. Carlos and Tomasa were helping raise their grandson, Felipe Pruneda. Carlos was having dialysis done in Moses Lake and the family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who helped him during his treatment.

Carlos was preceded in death by his mother, Jacinta Martinez and two brothers, Modesto and Victor Hugo Capetillo.

He leaves behind his wife, Tomasa Martinez Capetillo, of 29 years, his oldest son, Juan Carlos Capetillo, his wife Rosa and son Juan Carlos Jr., his oldest daughter Victoria C. Suarez, her husband, Juan de Dios Suarez and their two sons, Juan de Dios, III and Justin, his youngest daughter Yanira Capetillo and her children, Samantha and Felipe Pruneda, his brothers Armando, Elias, Herberto and Ricardo, and sisters, Maria, Aracelia, Alma, Yolanda and Jacinta Capetillo.

Carlos will be remembered for his smile, music and love of life. He will be missed during family “karoke” night singing with his children.
