Robert William Harwood

Robert William Harwood left his earthly home to meet his Heavenly Father on Feb. 10, 2009.

Bob was born at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane March 2, 1945.

Bob was raised by his parents, Everett and Nan Harwood, in the Quincy area. Bob graduated from Quincy High School and then attended college at Eastern Washington University. Bob was drafted and served his country as a soldier of the United States Army. Bob returned from his service duty as a Vietnam veteran. Bob returned to college at Eastern and was married in 1968.

Bob and his family spent 20 years in Western Washington, where he worked for United State Gypsum. He returned to the Quincy area and worked for Cenex in the seed plant. After no longer working, Bob spent time enjoying his hobby of coin collecting.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Everett Harwood.

Bob is survived by his three children: Michelle Mahon (Kane) and grandchildren, Cory, Casy and JorDaine; Brent Harwood and grandhilcdren, Brandon and Briannah; Melyssa Harwood and grandchildren, Rhyan and Kharsyn. Also, his mother, Nan Hardwood, three brothers, Bruce (Marie), Brian (Debbie) and Bill (Terri), and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob’s children suggest that memorial donations go to the First Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund in Moses Lake.

Bob’s children would like to leave this final thought about their dad: “Dad’s last breath on Earth was his first in Heaven.”
