Big Bend to host Trailblazers

MOSES LAKE — The Big Bend Vikings men’s baseball team will continue the 2009 Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) season this weekend when they host the Centralia Trailblazers at Larson Playfield.

Big Bend and Centralia will begin the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader at noon at Larson Playfield, with the second game immediately following the first. The two schools will continue their weekend series Sunday with another doubleheader beginning at noon at Larson Playfield.

The Vikings are coming off of a four-game series against Okanagan College. Big Bend swept a doubleheader against Okanagan Feb. 28 with a 3-2 win in game one and an 8-7 victory in game two to start the season 2-0.

Big Bend and Okanagan split a doubleheader March 1 with the Vikings taking the first game 5-3 before falling in the series finale 4-1.

Centralia makes the trip to Moses Lake this weekend with a 1-2 record.

Big Bend begins NWAACC East Division play March 26 with a doubleheader at Walla Walla Community College.
