IRRIGATION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS

Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the Grant County Port District No. 1 office, 202 "G" Street SE, Quincy, Washington 98848, up to 11:00 a.m. local time on March 11, 2009, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to design and furnish and install irrigation system improvements to the Colockum Ridge Golf Course, and includes but is not limited to the following:

SCHEDULE A:

The design and construction of an irrigation system to serve six Greens, two Fairways and Greens, one Putting Green, and associated areas in and around the existing Golf Course as shown on the Contract Plans, to include but not be limited to, irrigation mainlines, laterals, sprinklers, valves, fittings, wiring, and a control system to serve the designated areas.

SCHEDULE B (OPTIONAL WITH OWNER):

The design and construction of an irrigation system to serve the ten Fairways and Greens, one Putting Green, and associated areas in and around the existing Golf Course as shown on the Contract Plans, to include but not be limited to, irrigation mainlines, laterals, sprinklers, valves, fittings, wiring, and a control system to serve the designated areas.

The basis of award shall be the lowest, responsive, responsible bid tendered for Schedule A. The District shall award the Optional with Owner Schedule B, rather than Schedule A, should sufficient funds be available.

The designer and installation contractor shall have successfully designed and installed irrigation systems for golf courses on at least three previous projects.

The Schedule A Work shall be physically completed within 35 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Should Schedule B be awarded (rather than Schedule A), the Schedule B Work shall be physically completed within 45 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto which are on file at the office of Grant County Port District No. 1.

The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to the "Grant County Port District No. 1" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.

Contract Provisions and Contract Plans may be examined at the office of Grant County Port District No. 1, local plan centers in the project area, or the office of the Project Engineer, Gray & Osborne, Inc. (Seattle at 701 Dexter Avenue North, Suite 200, Yakima at 107 South 3rd Street or Olympia at 2102 Carriage Drive SW, Bldg. I, Suite 102). A copy of the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans may be obtained, free of charge, in electronic format (PDF) on computer disk(s) along with registration as a planholder only at the Yakima office of the Project Engineer, Gray & Osborne, Inc., 107 South Third Street, Yakima, WA 98901, (509) 453-4833. Financing of the Project has been provided by Grant County Port District No. 1.
