Crawford named to Washington soccer team

MOSES LAKE — For the past 10 months, Moses Lake’s Danielle Crawford has competed against some of the best youth soccer players in Washington state in the Washington Olympic development team pool.

After numerous tryouts and competitions beginning last September, Crawford was one of 40 girls soccer players named to the Washington Olympic development team pool in April.

Of the 40 girls named to the Washington team, 34 were selected to represent Washington in the Nike Friendship Cup in Beaverton, Ore., over Memorial Day weekend.

Following an impressive performance during the Nike Friendship Cup, Crawford was one of 16 players named to the Washington Olympic development regional team.

The Washington regional team will travel to Moscow, Idaho, July 13 through July 19 to participate in the Western U.S.A. Region IV camp.
