John Paul Jones Jr.

John Paul Jones Jr., of Moses Lake, went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2009, at the age of 60.

J.P. was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Yakima, Wash., to John Paul Jones Sr., and Wini Cowart. J.P. graduated from Selah High School in 1966 and, in the mid-seventies, completed one year of bible college in California. J.P. spent his entire working career in the food service industry. The last 16 years he worked for Food Services of America, where he left hundreds of friends. J.P.’s hobbies included billiards and handball.

J.P. was survived by one son, John Paul Jones III (Trey), one step-daughter, Alex, a brother, Jerome LeRoy Jones, two nephews, Primo and Chris, and one niece, Raven. He is also survived by four step-brothers, Billy, Sal, Mike, Rick, and one step-sister, Nina.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 1 p.m. at Chief Moses Junior High School in Moses Lake.
