Edna Miller Birchill

Edna Miller Birchill was born to Walter and Emily Miller on Aug. 16, 1918. She graduated from Central Washington University with her teaching certificate. She married Wallace Birchill on Jan. 1, 1942. Edna was a housewife, mother and later an elementary school teacher at Moses Lake, Fairfield and Pasco, Wash.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Elbert Miller and her husband Wallace Birchill.

She is survived by her sister, Ethel McMillan, her sons Eugene (Gene) and James (Winston) Birchill and their wives, Laurie and Kristy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James Birchill and Julia Swanson-Burchill, and by her great-grandson Cameron Birchill.

There will be no funeral, but her ashes will be spread with her husband’s, overlooking Coulee Dam on the ranch where she, her husband and he sons lived in their early years. Memorial contributions may be made to Signature Hospice, Portland, Ore., or to the Daughters of the Pioneers in Washington and Oregon.
