Don O. Nickerson

Don O. Nickerson, 94, passed away on June 3, 2009, at the Samaritan Hospital, Moses Lake.

Don was born on Jan. 21, 1915, in Miles City, Mont., the son of Arthur and Sarah Belle (Hobbs) Nickerson. Don was a life long resident of North Idaho, until moving to live with a daughter in Moses Lake, about a year ago. He  graduated from Athol High School. Don worked  in Housing Construction and for the Nickerson Brothers Auto in the parts department.

Don was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He married Anita Tredway and she preceded him in death.

Don then married Oleta Saunders  and she preceded him in death in December 2008.

Don is survived by two daughters, Dona Palmen, of Moses Lake, and Diana L. Buckmann, of Spokane; two sons, Ben Nickerson, of Alaska, and Barry Buckmann, Pinehurst, Idaho; and one brother Roy Nickerson, of Kingston, Wash.

He was preceded in death by: parents, both wives, one son, Kenny, one daughter, Flora Belle Long, two grandsons, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at Kellogg Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 13, noon, with burial at Shoshone Memorial Gardens, Pinehurst, Idaho.
