Catalina 'Cathy' H. Ruiz

Catalina “Cathy” H. Ruiz, 55, passed away on June 1, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Catalina was born in Rio Verde, S.L. P., Mexico, on May 31, 1954, to Vincente and Paula (Hernandez) Ruiz (both deceased). She is survived by her sisters, Frances Navarrete and Celia Perez.

The Ruiz family came to Warden to live 1966 and Cathy gained her citizenship in 1983. She has two children, Robert Emry of Moses Lake and Lucinda Antunez of Royal City.

Cathy worked for SeaFirst Bank and Community Health in Moses Lake and enjoyed knitting, reading the Bible and was well known in the Hispanic community for helping the needy, translating, driving to appointments and being a friend.

At Cathy’s request, there will be no services held. Arrangements are in care of Benson Family Funeral Service, Chapel, Cemetery and Crematory, Moses Lake.
