Vincent T. Gunderson

Vincent T. Gunderson, 91, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Pioneer Memorial Gardens.

Vincent was born on August 23, 1917, in Claire City, South Dakota, son of the late Theodore and Mayme (Stapleton) Gunderson. After graduating from Sisseton High School, he spent four years in the Marine Corps., being honorably discharged in 1940. In August of 1968 he met and married Audrey in Clinton, Iowa. They then moved to his home in Kennewick, Washington, where they lived for many years. Vincent retired in 1979 and they moved to Moses Lake. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool with his friends at the Moses Lake Senior Center.

Vincent is survived by his longtime friends, Kay Neal, Mel Neal and Maxine Hansen, all of Moses Lake; and a great nephew, Jeff Gunderson.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey, in 2001.
