Keri Suzanne Link Armstrong Brown

| July 27, 2009 9:00 PM

Keri Armstrong, 40, passed away, Tuesday, July 21, 2009, in Moses Lake.

Keri was born October 6, 1968, in Grand Coulee. She was the daughter of Vicky Brown, Moses Lake, and the late Mel Link. After Mel’s passing, Keri was adopted by Roy Brown who has been “Dad” for the last 14 years.

Keri spent her primary and junior high years in the Eastmont School District, moving to Redmond, WA, to complete high school. Keri was a member of Faith Lutheran Church while growing up in East Wenatchee.

Living in Redmond, Keri met and married Peter Armstrong of Kirkland and became an Army wife. Keri and Pete had one son, Jonathon (JT) in 1988 while Pete was stationed at Fort Ord, CA. JT was Keri’s joy. She loved sharing stories of his accomplishments or just their conversations.

After leaving California, Keri spent several years living in the Seattle-Everett area and moved to Moses Lake in 2004. Here she found a sense of community and friendship that was very special to her.

Keri became an “unofficial” foster mom to many and loved it when they called her “Momma Keri.” They could count on her for a sympathetic ear or a stern lecture if they needed it, a safe place to stay and her special spaghetti to fill them up. She will be missed by all those she loved.

Keri is survived by her son, JT, Lynnwood, WA, her former husband, Pete Armstrong , Transfer, PA, parents, Vicky and Roy Brown, Moses Lake, brother Todd Link and niece Taylor Link, East Wenatchee and her two ‘furry’ children, Odie and Bootsie.

Keri was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Sarah Kitchen and Evelyn and Bill Coleman.

A memorial service was held at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 10 a.m. Memorials can be made to your local animal shelter or New Hope in Moses Lake. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
