Moses Lake woman encounters burglar

MOSES LAKE — A 72-year-old Moses Lake woman awoke to find an unknown male in her home on South Sunset Drive Thursday morning.

A few minutes after 2 a.m. the woman saw the male standing in the dark in her hallway, Moses Lake police reported. The male reportedly grabbed her by the shoulders, let her go, ran to her bedroom and fled through an open window.

“Entry was gained from the same bedroom window,” police reported. “(The) window was unlocked and open during the night.”

The suspect is described as about 5-foot 8-inches tall with a medium build. Further information about his likeness was unknown.

“Police checked the area and were unable to locate (the) suspect,” authorities reported.

Nothing was stolen from the residence.
