Perry Allen Wilson

| July 23, 2009 9:00 PM

Perry Allen Wilson, 70, of Moses Lake, died Monday July 20, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Perry was born on November 13, 1938, in Ritzville, WA, to Clarence and Florence (Ragsdale) Wilson, a second-generation homestead family. He worked for his father on their ranch until he was 17, when he joined the Navy. He served on an Aircraft Carrier off of the coast of Korea. Perry was discharged in 1959 and he returned to the family farm. He enjoyed ranching and farming and continued working for many ranches in the area after his father’s ranch was sold. He retired in the early 1980s and in 1988 he moved to Mardon, where he looked out over the fruit trees and was able to watch the wildlife.

Perry was a jack-of-all-trades. Anybody that needed something fixed would call Perry and he’d figure out how to fix it. He was a generous man who would go out of his way to help others. He will be remembered for his heart of gold.

Perry enjoyed drawing and architecture as a youth. He was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing where favorite past times, especially fishing in the Potholes.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Lauretta Jordan, of Moses Lake, a brother, Charles Wilson, of Federal Way, four nephews, two nieces and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
