Randy Robert Parks

Randy Robert Parks died peacefully at his home east of Kittitas on July 18.

He was born October 28, 1950, in Snoqualmie, Wash. He grew up at the ranch on Peoh Point and moved to Roslyn in the seventh grade. He graduated from Cle Elum-Roslyn High School in 1969.

Randy’s hobbies were riding horses, working cattle, and training dogs but his profession was serving the Lord. He accepted Christ Jesus as his Savior in 1984, and joined Calvary Baptist Church in Ellensburg, where he served as head usher for many years, greeting people with warmth and humor.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; their son, Tim Parks and daughter Sarah (Robbie) Williams; two sons by his first marriage, Bodie Wilder and Robert Parks; his parents, Bob and Lil Parks of Ellensburg; sisters Linda Parks of S.C., Barbara (Jim) North of Mo., Shelli Nesmith of Moses Lake, and Sheila (Jeff) Ackerlund of Ellensburg; brother Rocky Parks of Calif.; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and uncles Peter (Barbara) Norgard of Colo., and Buck (Mary) Norgard of Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Kittitas Valley Home Health & Hospice, or the Union Gospel Mission.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 26, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Vantage Highway, Ellensburg.
