Kenneth Martin Gunter

Kenneth Martin Gunter was born November 13, 1924, to parents Rollie Admiral Gunter and Mary Lois Carrico in Davis City, Iowa.

He grew up in Colville, Washington, and graduated from Chewelah High School. He served in the Army during World War II. Ken worked for Greyhound Lines and travel agencies for over 40 years and was a bi-vocational Southern Baptist Minister. Pastor Gunter served in ministry at McNeil Island when it was a federal penitentiary, in churches throughout Washington state including Ephrata, Moses Lake, Quincy, George, Othello and in retirement at University Place Care Center.

He is survived by his wife Helen, daughters: Melissa Green Sohlstrom, Michelle Glover and grandchildren: James Glover, Matthew and Joshua Green, one brother and several sisters.

Memorial service will be held at Emanuel Baptist church in Moses Lake, on July 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m.
