RICHLAND, Wash. — The PGA’s Pacific Northwest NW Open golf tournament will return to southeast Washington for the second straight year.

The tournament will begin Sept. 18 and conclude Sept. 23 at the Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland.

The tournament welcomes 360 professional and amateur golfers throughout the six-day event.

PGA-Pacific Northwest Section Director of Sales and Marketing Doug Gullikson said golfers will help support the Children’s Development Center in Richland, Wash.

“Participating in this tournament not only offers opportunities to entertain and network with friends and colleagues, but golfers will also be supporting a great organization here in the Tri-Cities community,” he said. “The Children’s Development Center offers numerous services to assist children with developmental delays.”

The tournament is expected to generate more than $125,000 into the local economy, said President and CEO of the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau.

“We anticipate the six-day tournament will generate $127,000 in direct visitor spending,” she said.
