Gary A. Buchmann

Gary A. Buchmann, age 57, died July 9, 2009, at Columbia Basin Hospital.

Born July 14, 2951, to Ervin and Lyda Buchmann in Moses Lake, Gary grew up in Moses Lake and graduated from Odessa High School in 1969. From there, he worked in the fertilizer business, for the Quincy Irrigation District and had a small construction company with his son, Jesse. The past four years, he worked for the City of Ephrata.

Gary is survived by his wife, Pam, his granddaughter Jessica Buchmann and her mother Jennifer Jessen, his mother in law Reta Walter, brother Vern Buchmann, sisters Char Gitcho, Laura Schaffer, Marsha Rolph and his second family, whom he loved dearly, the employees of the City of Ephrata. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Buchmann in October 2003.

A memorial service and pot-luck will be held July 24, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Lions Park in Ephrata. Arrangements are in care of Benson Family Funeral Service, Moses Lake.
