GUEST EDITORIAL

MOSES LAKE — Here we find ourselves on July 3, with our Congress passing the fraudulent bill HR2454 because of what they said to be proven science of global warming. Even though the EPA sent a report to President Barack Obama stating the current science was not supportive to legislation contained in HR2454, the so called energy Cap and Trade Bill.

Mean while, the founder of the weather channel plans to sue Al Gore for his global warming fraud in order to get a public hearing of the latest science that indicates these following truths. We are not in global warming but global cooling. The ocean temperatures that hold more heat then the atmosphere are actually cooling slightly rather then rising in temperature. Cooling modes are on time for their normal cycles.

Sunspots are doing their normal 90 year and 11 year cycles as well, which is the major contributor to any temperature changes to our globe.

Now in this background our criminal acting United States Congress passed HR 2454 without the Congress even reading a last minute 3 a.m. 300-page amendment. This bill includes mandates to the states and tax increases to all Americans unequaled in our American History. Here is the thing, if you actually read what is in that bill that was dropped on the congress at 3 a.m. the day of the vote, and not read by Congress, you will hardly believe what you have read. The results of this bill would be a complete bureaucratic take over of much of our lives.

You would see we stand to loose more person freedom and more ignoring of our United States Constitution as our government plans to go around the Constitution with this proposed bureaucracy-dictatorship control. More freedom and much more of American life as we have known in the past will be forever lost to all Americans and obviously to Grant County Residents if Cap and Trade legislation were to pass the Senate.

In order to challenge our local community to get more involved in what their federal government is attempting to do, I am writing this article to the editor of the Columbia Basis Herald. I want to focus on what two major areas the house version of Cap and Trade HR 2454 would potentially do to local residents in Grant County.

First, the building codes we currently have will be supplanted with federally mandated energy policy codes that would cost locals and property owner thousands of dollars and unbelievable intrusion in our daily lives. Thousands of dollars will be added to cost of selling your house, as you would have to bring it up to their energy standards and codes before you could sell your home.

Second, if this were to pass the Senate and be implemented, this would have major effects on increasing our power bills and other energy cost in Grant County. The feds would no longer allow us to benefit from Grant County hydro electric power rates, so fellow citizens think about that. How would that affect your everyday life if your energy cost were to triple because of taxation on all carbon-based anything?  How would it affect the growth potential of Moses Lake and other Grant County Cities?  How much more can we pay for energy?

How much more strain can your personal budget take in this economy?  All goods and all services need energy to be made and transported so they too would necessarily skyrocket too. How about the consequences of about $7 per gallon on gasoline? Think about it. All carbon based anything in their plan will have forced taxation from the federal government to the states and to the local cities of America.

This bill includes so many non-funded mandates placed on us.

I am hoping we all wake up in Moses Lake, in Grant County, in Washington state and in America, as to what this criminal anti-freedom agenda would really mean in our life as we know it here in our little corner of the globe. We need to be informed because this could be the fight of our lives for America, for freedom, for the Constitution, for Washington state and for our own simple life here at home in Grant County.
