Sonia D. Godinez

Sonia D. Godinez, 41, passed from this life on July 3, 2009, near Royal City.

She was born in Dayton, WA, on September 22, 1967, to Ignacio DeLeon and Yolanda (Hernandez) DeLeon. She was raised in Cunningham, WA, but she lived in Moses Lake. She was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother. She is also survived by four children; Jessica Nichol Godinez; 21, Pedro ‘Peter’ Godinez; 19, Letty Loyien Espinoza; 16, and Yvonne ‘Chepina’ Josephina DeLeon; 12, and one grandson Xzavier Alejandro Martinez. She was loved by two sisters; Yolanda H. DeLeon; from Warden, and Adela D. Felix (Rufino Felix); from Warden, and one brother; Ignacio ‘Nacho’ H. DeLeon (Mary Flores), Jr; from Warden. She also leaves behind four nieces and four nephews. Sonia always lent out a helping hand and as a result she will be loved and missed by many.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, in Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden, with recitation of the Holy Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009, also in Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, Warden.

Sonia’s family has asked Carver Family Funeral Home, Moses Lake to care for arrangements.
