Midway Beverage expands

| July 3, 2009 9:00 PM

MOSES LAKE — Midway Beverage is adding about 10,000 square-feet and six loading docks to meet its growth needs after 31 years.

“We needed more room,” said the company’s owner, Scott Ramsden, on Thursday. “We’re growing.”

The beverage wholesaler is growing because its picked up many different products, including Red Bull, Sierra Mist, Arizona iced teas, assorted local wines and California wines, Ramsden explained.

The company also offers some micro beers and Anheuser Busch products, which it’s always had, he said.

“We’re always looking for viable products we can put on our trucks,” Ramsden commented.

The company serves nearly all of Grant County and goes as far as Nespelem, Connell and Eltopia, Wash. The company opened in 1978.

The company is probably not adding more employees at this point, he said.

Work on the building near Moses Lake started in the beginning of May. The project should be done by the end of August.
