Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at PO Box 776, Quincy, Washington 98848 up to Friday, July 17, 2009 with bid opening being held on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 10:00 A.M.; local time in the council chamber of the City of Quincy, 104 "B" Street SW, Quincy, Washington 98848, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to install a new irrigation system.

This Contract provides for the following Work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, the Special Provisions, and the Standard Specifications:

Installing a complete new irrigation system.

The Work shall be physically complete within 30 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto which are on file at the Quincy City Hall, 104 "B" Street SW, Quincy, Washington 98848.

The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and dated stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions.

Financing of the Project has been provided by the Quincy Cemetery District #1. The Quincy Cemetery District #1 expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interest of the Cemetery.

Department of Natural Resources will begin negotiation of five orchard leases with existing lessees on the following parcels. All leases are subject to third party bids by qualified parties. To qualify, bid proposals must meet a minimum rent of 6.0% for tree fruits.
