Lady Cougars roll to victory

WARDEN — The Lady Cougars of Warden rolled past the Wahluke Lady Warriors 67-46 for the South Central Athletic Conference victory Friday night.

The Lady Cougars were in charge of the game from the opening tip off and never looked back.

Warden rolled to an 11-0 lead in the first quarter and junior Kacey Kisler led the Lady Cougars on the court with 20 points.

The Lady Cougars continued to roll in the first quarter to take a 22-10 lead. Warden continued to dominate the first half when they took a 42-22 lead into the halftime break.

Warden continued to attack the basket throughout the third quarter, extending their lead to 51-27.

With the Lady Cougars dominating the game heading into the final eight minutes of action, Warden head coach Todd Kisler cleared his bench with the game in hand.

Warden dominated from start to finish and the Lady Cougars rolled to the 67-46 victory.

Warriors 74, Cougars 54

WARDEN — The Warriors of Wahluke came hunting and the Cougars were in season Friday night.

Wahluke controlled the game from the opening tip and took a 38-20 lead into the half.

The Cougars managed to slow the Warriors in the second half but the 18-point halftime deficit proved too much for Warden to overcome in a 74-54 loss to Wahluke.
