A public hearing was held January 20, 2009, at the Bureau of Reclamation Building, Ephrata, Washington, for the purpose of considering applications to determine the nominations for the positions of Director of Section 2 and Director of Section 4 for the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County.

The Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County unanimously recommends that the following candidates be considered as nominees:

City of Moses Lake

Notice of Application

and Public Hearing

The City of Moses Lake has received the following applications:

1. Westlake PUD: Dell Crittenden submitted applications for a planned unit development and 2 major subdivisions on Dec. 18, 2008. Additional required information was submitted Jan. 20, 2009. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on Jan. 20. The project is to create a planned unit development, including 17 acres of commercial development and 188 residential lots on 50 acres. The site is located north of N. Frontage Rd, west of Hansen Rd, south of Fairway Dr, and east of the Moses Lake Country Club. Seventeen acres of the project is the in C-2 General Commercial Zone, and 50 acres is in the R-1 Single Family Residential Zone. This project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 16: Buildings and Construction, Title 17: Subdivisions, Title 18: Zoning, Title 20: Development Review Process. 2. Westlake Mini-Mart: Dell Crittenden submitted an application for a site plan review on January 6, 2009. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on January 20, 2009. The project is to construct a new gas station and convenience store on 1.19 acres. The site is located West of Hansen Road, approximately 254' north of North Frontage Road, approximately 851' south of Fairway Drive, and will be Parcel A of the proposed Westlake Village Major Plat Commercial Binding Site Plan, in the C-2 General Commercial Zone. This project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable: MLMC Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 18: Zoning, Title 20: Development Review Process. Project Planner: Billie Jo Mu oz.

The Planning Commission will conduct public hearings on February 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.

Written comments on the environmental impacts of these proposals will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Feb. 4, 2009. Written comments on other aspects of these proposals will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on these proposals should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decisions on these proposals will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals.
