Sue Yada

Sue Yada, 53, lifelong Moses Lake resident, passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories in Moses Lake. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory. You may sign the guest book or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com.

Sue Yada was born on July 25, 1955 to Leslie and Lola Layton in Moses Lake. Sue received her schooling at Peninsula Grade School, Frontier Middle School and Moses Lake High School. In her youth, she enjoyed riding horses and going to concerts with her friends. For the last 12 years she enjoyed the company of her favorite dogs, Lolly and Hunter.

In 1979, Adrienne Hitchcock was born to Sue and her husband Tom Hitchcock. On Jan. 7, 1990, Sue married Terry Yada of Moses Lake. Shelby Jean Yada and Mitchell James Yada were born to them and were Sue’s pride and joy.

Sue worked at many lounges in Moses Lake. She took great pride in her work and made many friends along the way. Sue was co-owner and an active partner with Terry for seven years in Natures Best Carpet and Tile, a family business. Sue took great delight in finding treasures in the most unusual places. Sue loved a good book and sea food, especially King Crab legs.

Sue is survived by her husband Terry Yada, daughters Shelby Yada and Adrienne Magin, son Mitchell Yada, son-in-law Phillip Magin, grandsons Elijah Hitchcock, and Josh Magin. Also surviving are sisters Barbara Ohlausen and Dianne Kinsey (Dick), and a brother, Art Layton (Karen). Other relatives include Cheryl Brischle (Jon), Wiona Ohlhausen, Terri Wilson, Kent Wilson, Bill Ohlhausen (Yvonne), Shane Rau, Delaina McKinney (Brent) and Vanessa Brischle. She is also survived by in-laws Bernie and LaDell Yada, sister-in-law Sue Herr (Tom), brother-in-law Rich Yada (Naomi) and several nieces and nephews.

Sue will be joined in Heaven by her parents and good friends Trinia Koziol, Donna Dittus and Darrel Matson.
