Othello approves software contract

| January 14, 2009 8:00 PM

OTHELLO — Othello City Council approved $10,000 for a service contract with Tim Rich Consulting for their telemetry software Monday night.

Council budgeted $10,000 to cover the consulting fee of $105 per hour, City Administrator Ehman Sheldon said. The hourly fee increased from $95 per hour. The entire budgeted amount is not required to pay for the service, just any hours used.

The telemetry software is used to make adjustments to the city wells through a computer system, he said. There is very little travel time compensation associated with the consulting firm because most of the work is done from a computer at Tim Rich’s office.

The contract was approved unanimously.
