Frances L. McFarland

| January 12, 2009 8:00 PM

On Jan. 6, 2009, our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend went home to be with the Lord.

She was bom on Feb. 15, 1943, in Seattle to Francis and Jean States. As a child she lived all over the world as her father, Francis, worked for Pan American Airlines. She was happily married for 42 years to Thomas McFarland and confessed and mirrored her strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for all who knew her.

She enjoyed music, shopping, movies, painting, crafts, going to church and spending time with her loved ones. She was someone you could always count on whether it was for a Band-Aid or an encouraging word at a crucial moment. She made everyone around her feel loved, honored and encouraged by her words of wisdom and genuine, caring spirit. She was a beautiful wife, awesome mother, terrific sister, amazing grandmother and faithful friend who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Terry McFarland. She was survived by her husband, Thomas McFarland of Moses Lake; children Tina Stoddard of Moses Lake and Tammy Floe of Marysville, Wash.; grandchildren Thomas Estrada of Mill Creek, Wash., and Richard Atlansky of Marysville, Wash.; sisters Marion Trout of Canyon Lake, Calif., Sharon Wilson and Catherine Best of Okanogan, Wash. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services were held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens in Okanogan, Wash.. Anyone who knew her and would like to attend are welcome.

Frances, you have left a legacy in this world in each one of us and we will forever be grateful to the Lord for sharing you as our precious gift from Him.
