FUNDING and MEETING NOTICE
Grant County anticipates Federal funds under the Emergency Food & Shelter National Board Program to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in our county.
The Local Board will meet on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Grant County Commissioners' Hearing Room, Courthouse, in Ephrata to review funding requests and allocate funds.
Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, applicants must: 1) be a local government or nonprofit organization, 2) have an accounting system, 3) practice nondiscrimination, 4) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and 5) if a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board. Qualifying organizations are encouraged to apply.
Funding requests must be received by noon on January 16, 2009 using one of the following methods: 1) FAX to 509-754-6098; 2) mail to PO Box 37, Ephrata, WA 98823; or 3) hand deliver to Grant County Courthouse - Commission's Office. All methods need to be directed to the attention of Kim Husted, EFSP Local Board Coordinator.
