World Series Task Force unites

MOSES LAKE — The 2009 Babe Ruth World Series Task Force will re-assemble Wednesday night following a two-month hiatus for the winter holidays.

The Task Force will gather Wednesday night to discuss the progression of planning for the 16-18 2009 Babe Ruth World Series which will be held this summer in Moses Lake from Aug. 14 to Aug. 22.

Tournament Co-Director and Task Force Chairman Randy Boruff will lead the meeting as members of the task force will discuss sponsorship, housing, marketing and tournament responsibilities for the 2009 event.

“We are going to review what we’ve got as for as sponsorships and jobs,” Boruff said.

Moses Lake hosted the 2000 U16 Babe Ruth World Series and Boruff said he wants to make to 2009 event more successful.

The Task Force will assemble at the Holiday Inn Express on East Kittelson in Moses Lake at 7 p.m.
